Posted On 10/23/2009 08:30:00 PM by P.J. Harrison |

Here is a quick breakdown of my UFC 104 picks. I'm not going to go in to detail on each & every fight. I'll start off with the under card.

Struve vs. Gormley

I'm taking Gormley by 2nd round TKO

Kingsbury vs. Al-Hassan

I'm taking Kingsbury by UD

Rivera vs. Kimmons
I'm taking Rivera by KO in the 2nd

Okami vs. Sonnen
I'm taking Okami by TKO in the 1st

Hardonk vs. Barry
(Live on Spike TV)
I'm taking Hardonk by SD

Bader vs. Shafer (Live on Spike TV)
I'm taking Bader by TKO in the 2nd

Main Card Live On PPV

Johnson vs. Yoshida
I'm taking Johnson by KO in the 1st although he did have a hard time cutting weight. Fatigue may be an issue in this fight so I think Johnson needs to end it early if he can.

Stevenson vs. Fisher
I'm taking Stevenson by RNC in the 3rd. I think it's going to be a stand up fight for the most part but Stevenson will take it to the ground in the 3rd & utilize his strength.

Tibau vs. Neer
I'm taking Neer by KO in the 2nd simply because he is the dentist.

Velasquez vs. Rothwell
I'm taking Velasquez by UD. Velasquez's cardio is second to none in the HW division. He is a very good wrestler but I don't think he is going to try taking Rothwell down as much as others do. I think Rothwell is going to try to keep his distance with his reach. I don't think Velasquez will KO Big Ben. I actually think this fight may end up being a little boring but I'm hoping for the best.

Machida vs. Rua
I'm taking Machida by KO in the 4th. As much as I would like to say this is going to be an awesome fight..I'm not going to. We all know that Machida is a superior striker. We also know that Shogun can hold his own with anyone. I think Machida lands some great combos but Shogun tries to stay out of reach until the end of the 3rd. I think Machida's cardio will stand the test of time & he will catch Rua coming in carelessly in the 4th.

Be sure to vote for the "Fight of the Night" on our poll after the fights.

I will also be on Twitter with Live fight results. Follow Me.
