I think November, so far, is my favorite month with all the mma going on. UFC 105 is coming up on November 14th from Manchester, England (free on Spike TV in the US).

Sounds exciting right? More free mma! Also, I’m looking forward to some great fights and some wins from Aaron Riley, Matt Brown, Dennis Kang, Mike Swick and Brandon Vera. Sure I’m a Randy Couture fan. But, I think Vera’s win may send The Natural into retirement. Randy’s is great shape. However, I think he just might be done, even if he still has fight left in him.

See, I’m a girl. I’m a fan. I’m not a statistician and I don’t work in the industry (though I would LOVE to someday). I just love seeing good fights. I don’t mind the blood, busted noses, split eyes…but broken bones make me nauseated. I just finished watching a fight (an old one, by the way) with Lyle Beerbohm vs Rafaello Olivera. That nasty elbow to the forehead caused an immediate gash on Olivera towards the end of the 1st round. It bled so much, it was all over the canvas and they eventually stopped the fight due to the amount of blood. Something like that grosses me out. Go figure.

I would really love to see Dennis Kang give Michael Bisping another knock out loss. Has anyone else noticed that he’s talking less trash in this fight than he did with Dan Henderson? I know, it’s pretty funny. But even though I was a fan of Bisping when he was competing on TUF, I’d like to see him lose against Dennis Kang. I know Bisping will have a lot of the “Hometown Hero” crowd/complex but it would be nice to see him get knocked out once again. Either way, I want to see a good fight. Nay, a great fight with awesome punches to the face and great leg kicks. Let’s see who brings it!

Mike Swick is another favorite of mine. I’d like for him to win. I think this will be a tough fight though. He stated on twitter that he felt great, had great training sessions and he was ready to go. Again, Hardy is another of the “Hometown Hero” types. He’s ready to show his fans and his country that he’s also ready to fight. I think this will be a fast paced fight from both of these fighters. Both want knock outs. Swick seems to be the more advantageous striker. Guess we’ll have to just wait and see who takes this win.

The main event: Brandon “The Truth” Vera vs Randy “The Natural” Couture. This fight, I pick Vera. Like I said, Randy is in awesome shape and still has the fight left in him, I still believe this fight is Vera’s. Age just might be a factor in this fight. Vera is conditioned and ready to use his effective leg kicks, elbows and grappling game. Then again, Randy is a legend and for good reason. He’s amazing in the clinch and he’s a great wrestler and has those heavy hands. Though his last 2 losses were by TKO and Unanimous Decision, respectively, he still proves to be someone to prove your worthiness.

All in all, I’m looking for some great fights like all fans. I’m still excited that this is free mma in the states! Good luck to all the fighters. Even the ones I really don't want to win!
